This is a summer weight (or hot weather) woodland ripstop BDU jacket in size
Small/Regular. It is in used, very good condition. The jacket is slightly
faded, but the color is strong. There is a pinhole at the bottom front of the
jacket (pictured). This jacket has the desirable waist take-in tabs.

The hot weather combat uniform was developed out of the original
dissatisfaction with the heavyweight twill BDU's. Originally they were made of
100% cotton ripstop, but in the early 1990's this was replaced with the 50%
cotton, 50% nylon "NYCO". Oddly enough, the decision to forego the 100% cotton
design in favor of the cotton and nylon blend was based almost entirely on the
durability of the uniforms and the cost associated with replacing them. This is
a 100% cotton uniform. These were known for their comfort and breathability.

The summer weight uniforms were by far the preferred BDU's among field
soldiers in both summer and winter. This jacket is great for paintball, general
outdoor use or chores.
